Iowa Public Employment Relations Board

What if the employee organization fails to submit the required reports within 90 days?

ATTENTION: IOWAPERB.IOWA.GOV IS MOVING

On July 1, 2024, PERB duties were assigned to the Emploment Appeal Board (EAB).  Effective December 3, iowaperb.iowa.gov will no longer be available and all information will be found at the EAB's website, eab.iowa.gov.

Answer:

The employee organization will be deemed out of compliance with its statutory reporting requirements.  The Board may initiate proceedings to revoke the organization's certification as an employee representative.  If such proceedings are initiated, PERB will order the employee organization to appear before the Board and show cause why its certification should not be revoked.  Additionally, the Board will instruct the public employer to post the Order to Show Cause in conspicuous places to inform the affected employees of the hearing.
